Launching TenorOps
I’ve launched TenorOps, and it’s my new venture. It’s an operations platform for restaurants and cloud kitchens that run more than one location.
Why restaurants
Restaurant teams already do the work. The hard part is knowing it was done, across every shift and every location, without calling each site or chasing people in chat groups.
Look at how most multi-location operations run today. Task photos get lost in chat groups. Delivery bills get retyped into spreadsheets. Checklists live on a clipboard. Follow-ups get forgotten mid-conversation. An owner finds out about a problem days later, if they find out at all.
TenorOps is built to make that work visible and keep it in one operating record.
What it does
- Scheduled checklists with evidence. Owners define opening, closing, and food-safety routines and schedule them per location. Staff complete them on their phones and attach photos to the step they belong to.
- AI on the first pass, people on the decision. AI reviews task photos against the step’s instructions and flags work that looks incomplete. A manager confirms or dismisses each finding, and a finding never creates follow-up work on its own.
- Delivery bills into receiving records. Photograph a bill and TenorOps prepares an editable receipt with the supplier, items, and quantities. Stock only changes once someone on the team confirms it.
- Follow-up that gets closed. Failed or missed work becomes a corrective action with an owner and a recorded outcome.
- One picture across locations. Owners see which locations need attention today and which problems keep recurring over the week.
- Built for a real shift. It runs in the mobile browser or installs to the home screen. Staff sign in with a code sent to their phone, and answers and photos stay saved on the device through weak signal.
Beyond that, there are modules for inventory and transfers, recipes and production, equipment maintenance, and training.
The bet
I’m deliberately not building an “AI replaces your manager” product. AI is useful here for the repetitive first pass: looking at hundreds of photos, reading bills. Decisions stay with the people who run the kitchen, and the system keeps a record of who decided what.
Try it
